Rajma Masala (Red Kidney Beans Curry)

  Rajma masala is one of the most popular and delicious north Indian curry. Rajma is a great source of fiber and helps to reduce cholesterol and sugar. See, how to make rajma masala.  Ingredients to make Rajma curry:  • 2 cups rajma (red kidney beans)   • 3-4 onion (chopped)  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)  • 1 tablespoon ginger (chopped)   • 2 tablespoon garlic (chopped)   • 2 green chillies (chopped)   • 2 tablespoons rajma masala powder (If not available take garam masala)   • ½ tablespoon red chilly powder   • 1 tablespoon coriander powder   • ½ tablespoon turmeric powder   • 2 tablespoon oil   • Salt to taste   • Coriander leaves for garnishing  Preparation of Rajma Masala:  • Wash and soak rajma for 7-8 hours.   • Pressure cook rajma with salt for 45 minutes. Keep aside.  • Heat oil in a fry pan and add chopped ginger and garlic. Sauté it for few seconds.   • Now add onions and fry it until onions turn golden brown in color.  • Now add green chillies and sauté for few seconds.  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilly powder and rajma masala powder.  • Cook until masala separates from oil.  • Now add boiled rajma and mix well.  • Keep the flame at medium heat. Kali Daal Recipe

Urad dal

  It takes 20 minutes to prepare the yummy recipe of kali daal. Black gram dal is good for health.  Ingredients:  Sabut urad daal (Black gram)- 1 cup  Ginger Garlic paste- ½ tsp  Green chili- 2 piece  Tomatoes- 2 piece  Onions- 1 piece  Garam Masala- ½ tsp  Oil- 1 tbsp  Milk- 1 cup  Red chili powder- ½ tsp  Salt to taste  Asafetida- 1 pinch  Cream- ¼ cup  Method of Preparation:  1. Keep the urad daal soaked in water for at least 4-5 hours.  2. Pour Urad daal, 2 cups of water and salt in pressure cooker.  3. Boil till daal gets tender.  4. Pour oil in a pan and heat it.  5. Add asafetida, ginger garlic paste and then chopped green chillies.  6. Add chopped onions and fry till it turns light brown.  7. Add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, garam masala.  8. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.  9. Pour boiled Urad daal, milk and whisked cream in the pan.  10.
