Khandvi recipe

 

 

It takes 15-20 minutes for preparing khandvi. Khandvi is a famous Gujarati snack recipe.

 

 

Ingredients:

 

 

Besan flour- 3 cup

 

Ingredients to make Khandvi recipe

 

Butter Milk- 4 cups

 

 

Asafoetida- 1 pinch

 

 

Turmeric Powder- 1 tsp

 

 

Mustard Seeds- ½ tsp

 

 

Curry Leaves- 6 to 8 pieces

 

 

Sesame Seeds- 2 tbsp

 

 

Finely chopped Green Chillies- 3 pieces

 

 

Oil- 2 tbsp

 

 

Salt to taste

 

 

Method of Preparation:

 

Khandvi recipe

 

1. Take a container and add besan, salt, turmeric powder, and asafoetida.

 

 

2. Mix all ingredients and make a batter by adding little water.

 

 

3. Add butter milk and keep stirring.

 

 

4. Cook the batter for 10 minutes over low flame.

 

 

5. Keep on stirring to prevent formation of lumps.

 

 

6. Let it cool for sometime.

 

 

7. Grease a plate and spread the mix thinly.

 

 

8. Cool down and cut in strips of 2 inch width.

 

 

9. Now roll the strips.

 

 

10. Take another pan and pour oil into it.

 

 

11. Heat and add curry leaves, sesame seeds, mustard seeds, green chillies.

 

 

12. Pour it over the rolled strips.

 

 

Now your khandvi is ready to be served with different chutneys.
