It takes 15 minutes to prepare the sweet tomato chutney.
Ingredients:
Tomato- 4 pieces
Asafetida- 1 pinch
Cumin seeds- 1tsp
Turmeric powder- 1tsp
Red chili powder- 1tsp
Coriander powder- ½ tsp
Sugar- 1tbsp
Salt to taste
Water – 2 cups
Method of Preparation:
1. Cut tomato into small pieces.
2. Put some oil in a pan and heat it on high flame.
3. Add asafetida and cumin seeds to it.
4. Now add tomato into it.
5. Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt to it.
6. Stir it on medium flame.
7. Let it cook till tomatoes become soft.
8. Pour water into it.
9. Add sugar to the mixture.
10. Leave it to cook for 10 minutes till thick consistency of a puree is seen.
Now your tomato chutney is ready to be served hot with a variety of stuffed breads.
